you have a 50000 INR budget to assemble a gaming PC with light video editing and beginner game development. you’ve considered several CPUs and GPUs that fit within your range. for the GPU options, the Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 is the most affordable at 220$, while the RX 5500 XT OC 8GB is also budget-friendly at 220$. if you prefer higher performance, the RX 590 8GB at 250$ offers better power but stays within your budget. the Ryzen 5 3500 and 3600 CPUs are solid choices for your needs and cost.

your build includes a decent PSU, RAM, and SSD, which is a good foundation. regarding GPUs, you’re right to be cautious about the B550 boards—they’re expensive and may stretch your budget further. I’d suggest sticking with the Sapphire Pulse RX 580 or RX 5500 XT OC for better value.

for additions, consider upgrading to a mid-range GPU like the RTX 3050 or RTX 3060 if you want smoother gaming and development. also, ensure your motherboard supports the GPU you choose. Since you won’t upgrade soon, focus on stability and performance within your current investment.

These options are all solid, but what about the 1660 super? You might even reach 3200. The imc on Zen 2 is quite good now and should be fine with it.

I’d choose 3300x since it matches the speed of 3600 and 3500x in games. For GPUs, I’d go with the 5500xt 8GB. I’d also consider the NVIDIA 1650 Super if it offers comparable results.

If the R5 3600 seems costly, consider the 3300X instead. It performs similarly to the 3500 in multi-core tasks and slightly better in single-core, since all cores are on one chip. You might want to explore used equipment too. In my area, a GTX 1070 is available for around 200€ used—just over 200$ which is significantly cheaper than the RX 590 as far as I understand.

The 1600AF is based on Zen+ not Zen 2. Owning the 1600AF usually means you can't use 3200MHz.

I understand the 1600 AF is a clever combo, but the zen + imc still works well and can easily hit 3200, especially with a SOC boost.

Reaching 3200Mhz isn't assured, but it still means significantly reduced performance compared to a 3300x. A 3100x would perform much better and is more affordable.

It performs better in gaming due to a 3% improvement and includes two additional hyper-threaded cores.

the 1600 af isn't available in my country—it was my first choice but I couldn't locate it anywhere. I only checked the prices for all 6gb options: the inno3d twin model costs 240$, Galax is 240$, MSI Gaming is 320$. I haven't been following Nvidia GPUs much, so I'm curious—does the 1660 super stand out as a better option compared to the AMD ones I saw?

It seems the results vary based on the source of the data. I'm currently viewing a Gamers Nexus video, and the discrepancy is around 20%.
