I'm just starting with PCs and everything, so I got a prebuilt a while back. I figured it's okay since nothing went wrong. I wanted to check MSI Afterburner to see what was going on with my system. When I started Rainbow Six Siege, it reported the CPU was at 85-90°C, which is pretty high. My idle temps are also a concern at around 37-40°C. I'm a Dell Prebuilt user and can't afford to upgrade my case, fans, or cooler. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
In Afterburner you don't see CPU temperatures, only GPU readings. The idle temps look manageable, especially if the GPU is handling it. Consider adjusting the fan curve to start spinning up earlier, which can help avoid overheating.
