Hi,
I bought a Gigabyte Windforce OC 16GB RTX 5060Ti graphics card, but my motherboard BIOS doesn’t recognize it. When I boot with the 5060Ti installed, the debug lights go through CPU and RAM, but when it tries to switch to VGA it stays stuck on VGA and won’t boot. I changed to using the internal graphics of my CPU and now have the 5060 Ti installed in the motherboard’s PCie x16 slot. In BIOS, the RTX 5060Ti isn’t listed at all—only my M.2 NVME SSD appears. I upgraded from a RTX2080 Ti, which seems to work fine and is detected by the board.

I have an 11th gen Intel Core i9-11900K CPU, 32 GB RAM, a Corsair RM1000x PSU, and a Samsung SSD all connected to a B560M Aorus Pro AX motherboard that’s updated to BIOS version F15b—the latest for this model. My PSU, the Corsair RM1000X with 1,000 Watts, should power the 5060Ti according to what I’ve read, and I’ve connected the PCIe power cable to it.

Could anyone advise if I need to replace the motherboard along with getting a new CPU and RAM?
Thanks!

Are you checking if the motherboard's BIOS is current and if the power supply unit is linked to the graphics card?

Yes, I possess the most recent BIOS for my motherboard and the PSU's PCIe power cable is linked to the 5060 Ti GPU.

It might be related to a slow link speed issue. Look in the bios section under Advanced/Settings/Platform Power and ensure it's activated. Once confirmed, you can adjust settings for link speed. Next, in IO ports, select Initial display output to PCIE 1.

Ensure it is connected at both ends.

Are you relying solely on the cables provided with the power supply unit? Have you made any adjustments to them?

I understand you're using the Corsair Type 4 PSU cables that came with the power supply, and they're connected at both ends.

Use igpu to adjust the PCIE Gen in BIOS to 4, then test if the card functions properly.

I turned on the internal GPU in the BIOS, restarted into it, switched the PCIe Gen settings to various options, connected my RTX 5060 Ti to the x16 slot with the PSU cable connected, and placed the BIOS to detect devices. It still refuses to recognize the graphics card, only showing my SSD in the Plug-in Devices menu. Each time I changed the PCIe Gen, the BIOS blocked booting. The debug light checks CPU and RAM but doesn’t switch from VGA to Boot with the RTX 5060 Ti installed.
