hi guys, recently i was checking my temp with Hwinfo, just looking at the number, never even looked at how fast the cpu ran. yesterday something weird happened because my max speed is 5120 MHz (that's what it says on hwinfo), sometimes it drops down to 4300mhz. this makes me nervous since i never overclocked it (i don't know how and i'm scared it will hurt the cpu in any way). is it safe? did the cpu run faster on its own even though i didn't do anything? thanks, would appreciate an answer. note : i'm using a cpu cooler called gammax 400 v2, so the temp never gets above 70 celcius. and i'm using a motherboard called ms i pro m2 max b450m

That is HWMonitor but it doesn't work right with your Ryzen chips. Try getting info from this link instead: https://www.hwinfo.com/download/

I think you might be seeing something strange on the screen, could you show me a picture of your Hwinfo display? I am pretty sure with how hot your computer gets, everything will just work fine... take a deep breath and don't stress at all! Ryzen cores are designed to handle high speeds automatically, so yours can easily boost up to 3.9 GHz even if it was already running fast. If you were actually hitting 5.1 GHz, then your motherboard and CPU would be overloading like crazy (unless you have liquid nitrogen cooling). So maybe the Hwinfo tool is reading things incorrectly, just try Coretemp instead to see what the real numbers say. But since your temperatures look normal, nothing will break if we stay calm here.

I took a picture after playing the game for 2 to 3 hours, and now it wants to update again. Did I misunderstand something? here is the link you need: https://imgur.com/a/t13F70j View this picture on imgur: https://imgur.com/a/t13F70j

HWMonitor doesn't work well with Ryzen CPUs. You should try getting data from this link instead: https://www.hwinfo.com/download/
