Absolutely, but it comes with a cost. I'm already shifting more of my processes to Linux. I'll use virtual machines for tasks that aren't working well.

laughs during the switch from LTSC to Windows 11 LTSC once the ISO becomes publicly accessible, otherwise keep using Windows 10 LTSC for the near term (support likely ends around 2032)

Windows 11 is an updated version of Windows 10 featuring new capabilities. The name shift allowed developers to adjust required hardware specs instead of forcing users to upgrade if their systems couldn’t support older updates. As for the UI changes, it’s unclear what motivated that decision.

Windows 11's presence in the market around three years ago is far less than what Windows 10 had at that time. It’s unlikely Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 and provide longer security patches. If Windows 12 turns out to be overly complex with AI features, I’ll continue using Windows 11.

Extended updates are planned after the end of support, but only for customers who choose to pay. They’re also developing for Windows 12, according to recent reports. Microsoft aims to avoid the errors made with Windows XP and will continue supporting it for many more years.

The game needs to function with Lutris too. For mods, it's unclear what to do.
