There's some dust on the PSU. I wouldn't have run the fan that way. Right now the black fan on the front is taking air out of the case instead of blowing it in. The only intake I can see now is the Noctua on the bottom front, largely blocked by your harddrive. Try and run a monitoring software while gaming. It might very well be overheating.

What resolution are you using? Your friend's runs at a different one. The display settings can really affect the results.

The sound cards require minimal power. They'll run on the existing motherboard, so your current power supply should suffice.

I confirmed the airflow direction is correct. Front fans act as intakes while the rear fan serves as an exhaust.

It was in the wrong place, but I corrected it about a week ago. The system wasn't cleaned thoroughly, though—I just did a light dusting.

I previously had a Sonar card, but the new motherboard doesn’t allow it to fit properly. I’m uncertain if a high-end sound card will work now.
