Hi, I'm currently running CPU:i7-4790k MB:ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VII RANGER GPU:ASUS 970 STRIX Kingston HyperX 4x2 DDR3 CL9 1600Mhz RAM (8GB in total that is) Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 240 GB 2TB Barracuda Processor cooling unit: Noctua NH-U9B PSU:80+ gold g550W Case: Silencio 550, with two fans that came with it, and one Noctua NF-S12B fan. Also weird thing with my 970 is that it's idle temps are 45-55C, so the STRIX fanless mode is basically never on. So, I have two questions. 1) How come my system can't get stable 60FPS on Ultra in Warframe, where my friend who's playing it off of HDD can cap it 60 FPS Ultra with nearly the same setup but with GTX 770. Additional info, I run it Borderless windowed whilst he runs it in fullscreen. I've tried the differences between fullscreen and windowed, no difference on my system. I have it around 60-45 FPS usually. The weird thing is also that sometimes FPS will stay nicely at 60FPS whilst sometimes when I start the game it instantly dips to 45. Same goes with Planetside 2, even though he said that he's getting some dips under 60, but mostly 60. Any ideas regarding this question? 2) My second question is a bit easier though, I'm planning on buying Asus Essence STX II (not the 7.1 version), do you think that my PSU will run my system after getting the soundcard? Check your settings in the game and the Nvidia control panel to disable V-Sync. Also, it's Warframe—this game slows down when you're looking at Syandana.
Overclocking seems to have little impact, and Warframe appears well-optimized rather than bug-free. I wouldn't claim lag just by looking at Syandana, especially with all my Warframes, badges, and upgrades.
