I'm using Void GNU/Linux with DWM as my window manager. The setup has been smooth so far, the initialization system is efficient and straightforward, launching quickly. The main issues I've encountered are the use of LibreSSL instead of OpenSSL, which is significantly slower and less common, leading to problems with certain packages. I'd like a more stable rolling release version that doesn't rely on SystemD but still works well.
Your computer shows only a single application running, but your taskbar appears disorganized and shifts each day.
Using GNOME3 with Pop_OS is straightforward and reliable, delivering smooth performance and solid stability. It handles battery efficiency well from the start, though some fine-tuning remains. I’m still looking forward to seeing a GTK interface for adjusting screen colors.
Artix, Obarun, Gentoo, Calculate etc. are available here for rolling release Linux distros that don’t rely on systemd, using only distrowatch filters: https://distrowatch.com/search.php?ostyp...ive#simple
I have installed Pop_OS 19.04 with a custom theme and I’m really pleased with the result.
I use Archlinux with i3-gaps. Your setup details are available at the provided link: https://github.com/FFY00/dotfiles
