They came from my previous laptop. I upgraded it about four years ago. It feels like the same kind and performance. I purchased a TeamGroup 4GB DDR4 2400MHz because my old laptop's factory RAM was Kingston 4GB DDR4 2400MHz. I didn't think the brand made much difference at that time.

I had a similar situation with RAM. I bought two 32GB sticks, but neither worked. It turned out later that one came from Micron and the other from SK Hynix. They were all the same speed, but they couldn't be used together.

I checked the RAM in my new laptop to see if it’s worth selling. I heard about Dual Channel memory—it might be slightly slower but still offers similar performance, about a 5% difference in FPS compared to single sticks. If it works well and is faster than the single stick version, I’ll sell the 8GB stick from my old laptop. Otherwise, I’ll go with the dual stick from my previous machine.

the previous machine functions properly with its RAM, while the newer one seems to have issues.

I'm struggling right now. I'm not sure how to proceed... adjusting the laptop RAM isn't really my skill.

Maybe the board isn’t providing sufficient voltage. Also, there’s a Power Limit Throttling issue. Don’t lose hope—I’m here to help! We tackle this together, that’s the forum way!

I tested it while it was powered by battery, and since the charger wasn’t connected to the wall, I had to complete the setup quickly.
