Looking at the discussion on Linux Mint forums, it seems to revolve around a specific topic or issue related to the platform.
there’s nothing to fix on a CD. That one comes from the installation CD, but the error appears during boot, while theirs shows up on startup.
Kilrah, your board is now synced with the latest bios version matching yours or similar. What steps did you take? I checked both boards and found that 4.1 updated the raid disk—mostly related to APCI—and 4.2 added support for 9900k. Since I'm using 8gen, it doesn't require this update, but I still encounter errors blocking the installer.
Well, nothing... I hadn't actually done an install yet, only booted an already installed external drive. But I just ran an install and had no problem, also updated to latest 4.40 BIOS and redid one with no issues. So I guess the boards/BIOSes are different enough and it makes it a problem only on that specific board...
Certainly, the concern is about ACPI, not storage. Have you tried that link?
