I checked online and found an old Reddit discussion from a tech support thread. They suggested some changes, but the idle voltages stayed similar—between 1.25-1.4 for the high performance plan and 1.1-1.37 for the balanced plan. It looks like this advice is a bit outdated. Should I worry about those idle voltages? Just to be safe, you're not overclocking the CPU.

1.4V is idle is fine. Use the Balanced power plan, there's literally no reason to use the High Performance one.

Ryzen doesn't display idle voltage. From what I understand, it only shows a voltage when in use. The reading of 1.4V likely represents the last measured value before it idled. I might be mistaken; this is just what I've seen.

That's what I noted - I saw it somewhere. A lot of folks were taken aback by the higher voltages during idle in Ryzen, and I discovered a clear explanation on how voltages are measured in Ryzen. I also mentioned that I might be mistaken, but if you can show me why, I'd really appreciate it.

That’s why I wanted to be cautious and state it was just something I heard, but I’m not entirely sure—so it’s only worth checking out, not a confirmed fact.
