Hey everyone, just starting out with this setup. Got some tips on diagnostic software and log analyzers for Windows. Just bought a new laptop—congrats! (Check out the link: https://www.metabox.com.au/store/Alpha-S-Range) and configured it for dual boot between Windows 11 Home and Kubuntu. Twice now I’ve seen this unusual crash—top two centimeters of the screen turns into blocky snow, while the rest goes black, and white noise plays through the speakers at full volume. The power button doesn’t respond at all. This has happened in both Windows 10 and 11, but not in Kubuntu. I’ve lost a lot of knowledge about Windows lately, though I’m used to seeing diagnostic tools hidden. I saw some hardware monitoring videos online—temperatures, CPU, GPU stats, etc.—and thought maybe those could help. I’ve also been experimenting with Grafana and other tools recently. Any suggestions would be great!

Hey there! It looks like you're dealing with a graphics driver problem. If you need more help, check out the Reliability History section—it usually has all the details you need. Good luck!

Hello - helpful feedback, though it seems Windows wasn't properly shut down... This could point to graphics card noises. I'll explore that further. (Also open to ideas for better monitoring tools if you have any) [Display] Running OS: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit DirectX 12.0 GPU version: 12.0 GPU processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop Driver version: 512.15 Driver Type: DCH Direct3D feature level: 12_1 CUDA Cores: 3840 Resizable BAR Yes Dynamic Boost 2.0 Yes WhisperMode 2.0 No Advanced Optimus No Maximum Graphics Power 110 W Core clock: 1425 MHz Memory data rate: 14.00 Gbps Memory interface: 192-bit Memory bandwidth: 336.05 GB/s Total available graphics memory: 38801 MB Dedicated video memory: 6144 MB GDDR6 System video memory: 0 MB Shared system memory: 32657 MB Video BIOS version: 94.06.22.00.07 IRQ: Not used Bus: PCI Express x16 Gen4 Device ID: 10DE 2520 866B1558 Part Number: 4735 0110
