OS - Win11 Specs (Laptop)
Processor: Intel core i5 11400H
GPU: GTX 1650 SSD
Storage: 512GB Windows storage
Software: All up to date
Recent issues: Low FPS in Valorant and GTA 5 recently, dropped from 150 to around 70 FPS in gameplay.
Game performance: Smooth at high settings, now struggling with 40 FPS on normal settings.
Troubleshooting: Reinstalled Windows and games, updated drivers, used GPU-Z for diagnostics.
System temps: GPU reaches 60°C, normal; CPU up to 80°C, also normal.
Still no clear cause found—anyone with experience can help identify the problem.

Did you save the drive during the fresh Windows setup? It might be a hidden crypto miner that’s becoming more frequent and tougher to remove. You could also log some activity while gaming. Keep an eye on GPU and CPU speeds, usage, memory performance, and similar metrics. Look for any unusual patterns. Have you verified the power supply? Laptops often lose performance significantly when running solely on battery. A faulty power supply may charge more slowly and underperform when connected to a charger.

You can verify your power source by checking the connections and ensuring the laptop is receiving electricity.

Probably due to thermal throttling. The GPU stays below 65°C while the CPU reaches 80°C, which might still cause issues.

Are your GPU drivers current? You might want to try DDU and see if it assists. Check out the Jayztwocents video for guidance.

They are working correctly. The problem seems to appear quickly, like within a short time after performance improves. I noticed the frame rate dropped suddenly.
