I have a query! I just began using my edit PC for the first time. I installed Hogwarts Legacy, but I’m facing some issues. At medium settings and 3440x1440 resolution, I’m not achieving a stable 60fps. The frame rate often drops below 40fps. Extremely annoying. I’ve tried all sorts of fixes: updating the BIOS, reinstalling chipset drivers, even using the Display Driver Uninstaller to completely reset GPU drivers via Windows Safe Mode. Still nothing, the system keeps struggling with the game. My last option was overclocking, but I thought that might help. My RAM is at 2133Mhz, so I considered boosting it. In the BIOS I enabled the D.O.C.P. preset (similar to XMP for Asus). But the PC crashed immediately afterward. I also tried manually adjusting voltage and speed, but nothing changed. I suspect overclocking won’t work because my RAM isn’t compatible with my second-generation AMD processor. After all, it’s not listed on the QVL for my Asus motherboard. Through some online research, I believe my CPU is likely the limiting factor in the setup. My system includes: CPU – Ryzen 7 2700x; RAM – 4x 8GB Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz; SSD – Samsung 970 EVO 1TB; GPU – Gigabyte RTX 2070; Power Supply – Corsair RM750x; Wi-Fi – GC-WBAX200; OS – Windows 11 Home. My goal is to reach a stable 60fps and finally hit 60fps in Hogwarts Legacy. Would replacing the Ryzen 7 2700x with a Ryzen 9 5900X help? Could I set my RAM to 3200MHz? And could that bring me up to 60fps? Thanks a lot! 
Hogwarts runs exceptionally well because most processing happens on your GPU, not your CPU, especially at higher resolutions like 1440p.

If you're just swapping parts, consider getting the 13th gen chip—it handles zen3 and zen4 much better than the previous models, even if it's pricier. Blindly overclocking RAM is risky; understanding your CPU's specs makes the process smoother. Decide between a 2x8 or a proper 4x8 setup based on your needs. For overclocking, try 1.3-1.4v boost and see what works. If you can afford it, go with a 5700x or 5800x3d and push to 4.6-4.8ghz across all cores. Just use an MSI afterburner for GPU tuning.
