Identifying issues with the blacksite area 51 physical copy
I have two DVDs needed to set up the game on my computer. The first one works perfectly, but the second one doesn’t seem to work properly. What should I do? Short version: I bought Blacksite Area 51 on Amazon (no GFWL, prefer generic FPS titles). It’s available on PS3. [Link to product]. I’ve tried installing it with both disks inserted by putting them in the tray and clicking install. The program asks if you want to launch the installer. I used full installation, choosing either custom or full setup. Full install tries to place the game on my C:\ drive, while custom lets me pick a location. After inserting the first disk, it prompts for the second one, but after the first finishes, it keeps asking where to find it. I’ve tried swapping disks, changing settings, and even using the auto.exe with compatibility mode for Vista, but nothing works. The game’s back says minimum system requirements are Windows XP SP2 or Vista. I’m on Windows 10 64-bit home and don’t want to return the game. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
Hi, I understand this has been a challenge for about seven months. You might have solved it or returned the game, but I encountered the same issue recently and couldn't find any solutions online. For future reference, try inserting disc 1, checking compatibility on autorun, applying the suggested settings, and then repeat the process with disc 2. After that, put disc 1 in and run the exe. When you switch to disc 2, it should start automatically.
I'll attempt this again. It seems you're unsure about where to place it.
Eventually I realized it took much longer than expected. I finally tried the game and, boy, it wasn’t as enjoyable as it used to be. Back then on the PS3 when it was around 3 years old, it was a lot more fun.
