My motherboard, Biostar X370GT7, has been functioning well for some time with just a RAM overclock from 2133 to 2666. When powering it on, I don’t see a postcode and there’s a boot loop. After removing the memory, it didn’t trigger any error codes, so it started up without RAM and emitted a single beep as if it booted normally. After taking out the CPU, power still reached the board and it turned on fully, just like when it was originally built with RAM installed. I think the issue might be related to a faulty BIOS, but both chips seem to behave identically now. There’s no clear way to flash a new BIOS chip without more information, so you might want to try a different approach or consult a specialist before deciding the board is beyond repair.
