FullSizeRender.MOV IMG_2797.MOV Details: 3060ti i7 8700k OC to 4.7 16GB DDR4 ram. Recently playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and my performance varies a lot. At 100fps I get smooth, but at 1440p it’s 80fps or less. The stable 1660p version runs at 90fps with consistent usage. When I run at 1080p in Valve town, I see 60fps and around 70fps depending on resolution. It seems my CPU might be limiting things at certain settings, or maybe there’s an issue with the graphics card. I also notice occasional stutters that bother me. Any suggestions on NVIDIA controls or Windows tweaks could help? Thanks!

The CPU struggles more when handling higher frame rates, as it can’t match the GPU’s performance. Additionally, Amphere’s design doesn’t perform well at lower resolutions, making full utilization difficult at 1080p.

The 4.7ghz rating isn't a full overclock. This chip can reach about 5ghz at around 1.35v per core, but only if your cooling system works. The GPU load for that card at 1080P is minimal, so it should use less power and rely more on the CPU.

On cinebench you’re seeing around 80°C after 10 minutes—this is normal. Raising your voltage might help, but be careful to avoid overheating. A more powerful CPU could improve performance and keep the GPU running cooler.

I notice you're aligning your performance with online standards that match similar specs, except for your i7 8700k. It seems stable without big changes. A Reddit user mentioned 1080p at 60% usage isn't typical—maybe background tasks are running and affecting CPU limits.

Actual usage changes based on detail settings and refresh rate. Factors such as v-sync and frame rate limits in games also help keep consumption low. Besides these, minor aspects like memory overclocking can play a role. Your 8700K supports memory speeds above 4000MHz. That’s something worth utilizing. There are several options to boost performance—ramping the CPU for higher FPS or upgrading to a more powerful chipset like 12700K. This would be a significant improvement. It’s unclear how well it will translate to 1080P gaming. Would a more capable CPU reduce GPU load? That seems possible. I often watch FPS nonstop with MSI overlay, but I need to stop since the game works well at 1080p. The issue starts when loading parts of the map, possibly due to my own loading behavior.
