Which nation? FCC exists there and it’s not great. The smartest approach is to check what others use and the cables available on your block. Usually in the US you find just a few solid choices in many areas.

This would depend on your location, as a search for "Compare broadband" typically yields region-specific results.

Are you located in the UK? If yes, try uSwitch or CompareTheMarket. Otherwise, as long as you have a phone line at home, you can access most providers except Virgin Media.

In most areas, every other street has Spectrum, but this particular street is the sole local small cable provider.

I haven't used comparison sites in the US, so I can't suggest any based on personal experience. A quick search found these options you might try: https://broadbandnow.com/ https://www.whistleout.com/Internet/United-States

I understand. Unless you reside in major cities, there’s typically just one solid choice and a few less reliable ones. If you live in a rural area, you might have only one option at all. Often people settle for what’s available because they’ve already checked around. You can save time by asking neighbors or searching online for local service options. It really depends on your country and even the specific region within it, like in the USA. If I were you, I’d look up “internet service near me” and ask friends about their experiences.

A nearby cable provider is renting the line on our block, but Spectrum would handle it. Hope they acted sooner, offering quicker speeds at lower prices without restrictions. Wish we understood the remaining term on the agreement.
