I’m not sure about purchasing A320 motherboards. It’s sufficient to manage the 3600, and I don’t believe the savings justify the performance drop versus the B450.

It seems the A320 will likely become outdated soon, so you'll probably need a newer model. You might also need to update the BIOS to support a 3600, which could require some effort to complete. A B450 would be a solid alternative, though costs and other factors matter.
The 3950X works well on budget B450 or even A320 boards without any issues. I didn’t mention PBO, so running it at stock speed shouldn’t cause problems—your motherboard’s VRM should handle it. However, jumping to a 16-core processor isn’t advisable; it won’t give you much room for overclocking and could damage the board. Most B450 models are sufficient for the 3950X or 3900X, but if you intend to push things hard, you’ll likely need to risk overloading the VRM. Using PBO might make it safer, though it’s not a guarantee.
