Hello. I notice frequent stutters across most games I attempt to play. I've explored numerous fixes from online sources, yet nothing has resolved the issue. It seems hardware might be the culprit. I've attempted self-troubleshooting without finding clear signs of overheating or excessive usage during stutters. My goal is to conduct a more detailed performance test on my PC to pinpoint the problem and hopefully resolve it by replacing or upgrading the affected component.

Details about my system:
- Operating System: Windows 11 64bit
- Hardware list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/tb5792514/...iew=K3HphM
- Connected components: additional monitor, three storage devices (two SSDs, one HDD), DVD driver, peripherals
- BIOS version: F64a

Please let me know if you have any further information.

Thank you for your patience. I’m not trying to make assumptions or rush purchases. Most of the games I’m attempting should work smoothly on my system.

Avoid seeking guidance unless necessary. I haven’t demonstrated my stance on a forum, yet it’s clear that zen1 chips perform poorly in IPC compared to today’s standards.

I understand your concerns and will consider your perspective carefully. It’s important for me to follow your guidance rather than just copying what others suggest. Since you’re worried about potential damage from the new GPU or a faulty product, I’ll focus on exploring more thorough testing methods beyond just enabling Afterburner during gameplay. Given my recent GPU upgrade, I’m also open to checking other possible issues before spending time on trial and error.

Consider exchanging components to identify the problem. Purchase a CPU on Amazon, try it out, and return it if it doesn’t fix your issue. The chances of a GPU causing stutters are very low.

Bro, without even comparing it, the 1600 CPU is the main issue, I’d wager that. But if you want to eliminate any bad parts, you can download and run a benchmark from https://www.userbenchmark.com/ which will show if there are faulty components or ones not meeting expectations. Still, upgrading the CPU will definitely boost performance. Also, make sure your display is connected directly to the GPU. Good luck!

Certainly. My CPU doesn’t appear to have integrated graphics, and my UserBenchmark scores indicate everything is functioning properly. Please share your results if you notice anything unusual. Regarding performance issues with games like The Witcher 3, Skyrim, and Deus Ex Human Revolution, consider whether the problem lies with the CPU, motherboard, or RAM.

You shouldn’t experience stutter even with CPU limits—just reduce FPS. Stutter usually points to a driver problem or overheating affecting a component. Start by checking your temperatures first. Ensure all drivers are current. Use DDU to remove graphics drivers in safe mode, then reinstall them. While doing that, run an SFCC /scannow and DISM on the system. Look up the steps online for detailed guidance.

Hey, yeah the CPU being a bottle neck wouldn't cause that stutter. And I know exactly what you're talking about maybe it's a wider issue than we think. Just a few days ago I was playing a game and my whole PC began to stutter, it only lasted but a few seconds but it was definitely noticeable. Ignored it as a blip -- but it did it again a few more times to the point where it was getting annoying. I looked in a lot of places and couldn't find anything about this specific issue but I just started thru the basic steps -- I updated my Motherboard BIOS, my GPU drivers and ran all windows updates I had pending. Problem fixed.
