Identify the issue with the NTDLL.dll file.
Hey everyone, my name is Joshua. I've been working on this issue for more than five hours now, and it's not my first time trying this shoot. My friend and I decided to play the BO3 custom zombies mode, but when he started, the game closed instantly. We began searching for error codes and discovered a faulting message: "blackops 3 .exe", version 0.0.0.0, timestamp 0x63f95e3c. The faulting module is named ntdll.dll, version 1.0.0.1, with some error details attached. The exception code is 0xc0000374, and the faulting process ID is 0x6b28. We checked contacting tech support, but they suggested using regvr32 commands to fix it. We also tried reinstalling the game and even reinstalled the entire package, but nothing resolved the issue. Any ideas or alternative solutions would be appreciated!
The issue indicates a problem with the app, not the dll file. Uninstall the game and reinstall it.
Reach out to the game developer and ask them kindly to look into and fix the underlying problem with their software. If possible, request evidence that it isn’t their product so you can then reach out to Microsoft for help. Should this approach fail, consider asking for a refund via the platform where you bought it or contact your payment service to initiate a chargeback. If all else fails, inform the consumer protection authority in your area about the situation where you paid but didn’t receive a working product.
I'm dealing with a very similar problem. My game freezes right after the intro and only plays the startup sound before it becomes unresponsive and crashes. I've been looking online since Friday, but no one's found a fix that works for me. Even reinstalling the game on another drive didn't help. For reference, my error message is different: instead of code 0xc0000374 with a fault offset of 0x00000000000ff449, I'm seeing code 0xc0000005 with a fault offset of 0x0000000000033aca. The event viewer still points to ntdll.dll as the faulty module. I hope we can locate a solution soon—this game seems new enough that it might still be playable.
