I purchased a R9 290 and received some free games as a bonus. One choice instead of a game is to play Star Citizen Omega Variant Racer by Accelerated Mass Design. I have no prior knowledge or understanding of this title. I get the general idea of Star Citizen but don’t know its current playability. Would you like some recommendations?

Right now, there is the hangar module in which you can walk around in you hangar and view your ships and sit in them. Additionally, there is Arena Commander, the dogfighting module where you can, as of the recent 1.0 update, fly with every single seater ship. Might you opt to go with the Omega, which is a racer ship, you can also fly in that. The Omega doesn't hold up very well in combat, but it is fast. Good luck with your decision!

The omega serves well as a beginning, but you receive a simple starter vessel with stronger propulsion. My opinion leans toward its shortcomings being offset by increased velocity; right now, speed clearly wins the competition.

The Omega performs well for racing, allowing you to compete effectively right now. However, since I haven’t used it in a dogfight situation, the free flight test suggests it might struggle against more aggressive opponents. It seems promising as a runner in Capture the Core. Keep in mind there are cheaper alternatives available. You can upgrade a ship to become a Gamma for free, then choose from various cross-chassis upgrades—like turning it into an Avenger for $5, or moving to a 315p for another $5, followed by a 325A or Hornet. From there you can switch to a Cutlass or either Hornet or Cutlass in different price tiers. These are the current choices, though they mention plans to expand upgrade paths to all ships eventually. This package also unlocks full multiplayer (persistent universe) and single-player (Squadron 42) modes once released.

Omega remains effective in battle, particularly when enhanced with faster gear. Just pair it with improved weapons for optimal performance.

Could you verify if the AMD bundle upgrade works for $10 and matches the price of the 315p at $75? Also, is this promotion available only for a limited time?

Confirm that cross chassis upgrades are fully feasible according to the details provided. Uncertain about the timeline for Omega code redemption.

They aim to provide upgrade options for various models, hoping to offer alternatives when needed. It's a strategy to secure desired improvements or replacements. I've experienced this firsthand. The package maintains its worth at $0, but swapping it for store credits will only recover the upgrade cost.

This is really good news. I want the 315p really bad and 75$ is somewhat too much. Thanks to both of you. Do you guys know by memory if they support paysafecard? Google says no but those posts are old.
