Maybe you need to switch the OS type in BIOS from "Windows" to "Other." I had to do this to make Kubuntu work on an old Asus H87 board I purchased. The reason isn’t clear, possibly just to challenge beginners. If you can, turn off "Secure Boot" as well.

Confirm your request. Are you referring to the boot menu options? What specifically do you mean by "it fails"? Is it the installation process not finishing or the system not starting after installation? You might want to try disabling TPM if it's active. The manual mentions a boot security feature called "Sure Start." I suspect that could be the issue if it's enabled.

You can't start the live operating system either? If you don’t see anything in the BIOS that might block it, maybe switch to a different distribution. Sometimes there are issues and conflicts between certain distributions and specific hardware. There are many extra "security measures" built into modern PCs that can cause problems. Even if you're committed to Pop OS, you'll know whether it's just the OS itself or Linux distributions in general that don't work on your machine.

I also used Ubunut, Linux Mint and Batocera, but I still encountered the same issue—a black screen.

You might need to pause while the black screen appears. It can take some time to load into the live environment. You could also attempt to reset the BIOS factory settings. I’m not comfortable with Pop OS, but for Ubuntu and Mint you should find an option to start the live environment during boot from the live images. That’s the first one. Are you sure you want to select it?

I went to the store, purchased a TV dinner, walked home, and placed it in the microwave for six minutes. After removing it, I waited for it to cool before eating. Then I smoked a cigar and returned to my laptop, but the screen remained black.

Hold on, you're repeating the same criticism about Linux in another thread. It seems like you're questioning whether you're just pushing Linux for firmware installation. Maybe you're a skeptic or trying to discourage others from exploring it. Either way, I'm out of here. Have a good day, sir.
