I created a Windows storage area using two 16TB drives and set their allocation units to 1024KB. These drives come from Server Parts Deals, so I performed a standard format rather than a quick one because it verifies errors. One drive arrived with issues, so I decided to try them anyway. The formatting completed successfully, but the storage pool reported full capacity while E:\ appeared empty in File Explorer. I expected it to refresh after some time, use, or restart, but it keeps showing as full. From what I understand, there are no performance problems, so it’s just unusual behavior. I’m curious if anyone knows what might be causing this.
