Identify issues quickly Resolve performance problems efficiently
I recently received a 1000 Mbps internet connection, but my speed test only shows 100 Mbps. Since I’m plugged directly into the router using a Cat 6 Stranded UTP cable, it’s puzzling why it doesn’t reach the full potential when I have such a high bandwidth available.
You'd confirm it by checking the details or seeking confirmation from others.
Network settings > Adapter properties > Right-click Ethernet adapter > Check speed label. If it shows 1.0Gbps, your issue may lie elsewhere. Which router model are you using?
Are you certain about the speed? It might actually be a slower 100Mbit connection. Many routers include a power-saving option that restricts certain ports to that bandwidth. Could you tell me what motherboard you're running?
