Identify and resolve computer problems.
Hello fellow forum members of Linus Technical Tips! I’m facing a problem with my computer. I recently installed a new CPU, the Ryzen 9 5950X. Everything works normally—boots up, runs smoothly. But I still encounter blue screens during Windows 11 installation. Even after updating all drivers and patches, once I install Fortnite, it finishes but then checks file integrity. After completion, the game reinstalls itself repeatedly. At its maximum size, Fortnite is around 116 GB, yet I only download the base game (56 GB). Epic Games usually installs over 180 GB, but when I try to launch it, I run into issues with anti-cheat files in System32 related to my GPU and untrusted signatures. Sometimes it causes errors. Despite these hiccups, I can still play Fortnite. When loading Max graphics, the game crashes, claiming file corruption. It reinstalls again—not the actual files, just the game. Other games like Roblox or Minecraft work perfectly. Changing to my Ryzen 5 1600 resolves all problems—no errors, no anti-cheat issues, everything runs smoothly. My system specs are: Ryzen 9 5950X (AIO), 1 TB storage, Firecuda 530 Prime B450M-A II, 600W silver PSU, 32 GB RAM, 3200 MHz, RTX 3060 gaming, not overclocked. I’m confident the motherboard might be unstable for this processor, or the CPU could be faulty and needs a replacement.
