I powered on my PC and everything functioned normally until the mouse and keyboard stopped responding. The RGB indicators remained active but inactive. Initially assumed the system froze, but the clock displayed time and continued to update. I restarted the computer, keeping the power button pressed, navigated to BIOS and noticed the mouse lagged within it. I cleared the CMOS settings and everything worked again until the issue reoccurred. After that, no mouse or keyboard functioned, but the PC remained operational and USB ports connected without problems. I disconnected non-essential components from the motherboard and tried a test boot outside the case. Only RAM, CPU, and graphics card were connected (the CPU is a Ryzen without integrated GPU). The same error appeared. I inspected the motherboard connections, confirmed no bent pins, and cleared CMOS again. A new error appeared: "PCI vendor and device IDs do not match," which triggered another overcurrent alert, causing the PC to shut down after 15 seconds. I removed the graphics card and performed a test boot without video output to see if it would power down automatically. It did not. I’ve been troubleshooting this for over two hours, sometimes with the GPU on and receiving no video output, other times encountering the same errors and shutting down after 15 seconds. Is this related to the graphics card? Are there alternative solutions I can try without visiting a professional? Thank you in advance.
You mention this because I switched the GPU to an older model to test if that was the issue. For roughly four days, everything worked fine with the old GPU. Then last night I suspended the PC instead of shutting it down, and now the monitor isn’t showing any video output—like it’s trying to detect a signal but not displaying anything.
