I want to avoid Google Drive and OneDrive whenever possible. Google is convenient, but OneDrive becomes frustrating because its strength lies in keeping files on your local drive even without internet. When you lose connection, things stay there until you reconnect, allowing editing later. Switching to Zoho Workdrive worked until... a two-day internet outage. Then the Zoho drive appears empty, proving it won’t function offline. I need an alternative that lets me work without a connection and automatically sync when I get back online. Entire folders shouldn’t vanish when you’re disconnected.
They once offered this capability, but now they require all users to rely solely on server-side synchronization.
Check your system version. Are you running Windows 7 or Windows 8?
For Windows customers: The WorkDrive TrueSync/Sync application for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 is about to end its support.
For Mac users: The WorkDrive TrueSync/Sync app on Mac versions 10.14, 10.15, and 11 will also be discontinued soon.
You should investigate how your device connected to the network and whether the files were accessible through local storage instead of online services.
