Hello, I’m facing serious issues with my PC and can’t resolve them. The problem began two days ago when my mouse kept sticking. I replaced it with another model, but the issue persisted. Recently, it worsened significantly. I use OBS to stream games to Twitch.tv occasionally, and before this, everything ran smoothly at 1080p60fps without any frame drops. Now, the performance plummets to just 90% of normal. I’ve also recently upgraded to a 144Hz monitor, but it hasn’t helped. People suggest the monitor might be the culprit, yet my other monitor works perfectly. I’ve tested everything: checked internet speed, swapped RAM, scanned for viruses and malware, updated drivers, adjusted GPU settings, reinstalled mouse drivers, stopped background tasks, verified temperatures, ran diagnostics, and even changed Hertz values. Despite these efforts, the problem remains. My mouse is now completely unresponsive, making it impossible to move it at all. I’m worried about having to reinstall my operating system, but I don’t have the funds right now. This is really frustrating. Please help me. Thanks, Gunner.
Set up MSI Afterburner, activate its display in the "monitoring" section, turn on on-screen output, then run games while reviewing OSD information. It shows GPU/CPU/RAM utilization, CPU/GPU temperatures, clock speeds, etc. Look for any unusual readings. If you need more details, HWmonitor offers additional metrics like voltage and clock speed. Don't worry if the readings seem off—the software isn't highly precise for temperature and voltage, but it can highlight potential problems needing further verification.
It may also cause significant thermal throttling, effectively reducing the CPU's performance to a slower configuration when it becomes overwhelmed
Hello, thanks for the assistance. Everything was functioning without any background processes running, except for the essential ones. I’ll use those tools when I return; otherwise, I’ve checked RAM, CPU, and GPU usage with various programs, and everything looks normal. No issues detected. Thanks, Gunner.
