Blue screen appears similarly. If yes, concur with @kelvinhall05 – it could be a driver issue. Need more details. I can't understand what happened without watching it.

He simply shuts off the screen, nothing else occurs, and he must restart. He isn’t sure what caused the mistake.

If you need to get the new driver, watch this video and use the provided link to download it. Select "STANDARD" under "Windows Driver Type". Modern NVIDIA drivers use DCH, which means you can't install the NVIDIA control panel in the Windows Store if things don't go your way.
