Hi everyone, my setup originally used two 8GB DDR4 3200 CL16 sticks with timings and voltages matching. I added another pair of the same type, but the newer ones are Hynix while the older ones are from Samsung. They’re running at XMP 3200 with 1.35V and passed memtest64 fine. I’m wondering if upgrading to 3467MHz will cause problems due to the different chip types. The board I’m using is the Asus Z370-A Prime (T-Topology).

Everyone won't understand unless you give it a shot and see for yourself lol. This is your rig! If you go beyond the XMP speed, you might have to boost memory voltage above 1.35v. It's fine to push up to 1.4v, but make sure to increase gradually as frequency changes. Check each adjustment for stability. Making small tweaks makes a big difference. The B-Die generally works well. I wouldn't recommend using the Hynix with the B-die together personally. I think they won't mesh as smoothly, but we'll find out when you come back and share your results.

The shift from 3200mhz to 3467mhz is only a slight change. It’s better to fine-tune the settings at 3200mhz rather than aiming higher unless you intend to go beyond that frequency.

You're about to reach the maximum capacity of the Hynix kit. The Z390-A isn't necessarily T-top since daisy is the standard for lower-cost boards, though this applies mainly above 4000MHz.

I think I'll just fine-tune the timing. The Hynix won't go even a little past 3467, right?

Asus mentions on their site it's a top design, though your idea seems unlikely to affect performance at those frequencies.

I use the identical memory package with Hynix AFR. For optimal performance, the ideal clock settings are 14-17-17-28 at 1.35v.

Sub timings are set automatically unless you adjust them manually. My expertise covers VCC and VCCS voltages, which typically range around 5V to 12V depending on the device.

Review the images for timing details; note that your equipment might not match the exact settings. Regarding voltages, your VCCIO stands at 1.22v and VCCSA at 1.248v, both configured to 1.25v in the BIOS.
