I’m looking for a WiFi extender that doesn’t require PoE power. It needs to work in temperatures ranging from -20°F to 120°F, and I’m based in the U.S. Midwest with a garage setting—so it should stay dry. After this extender, I’ll connect a POE injector to power my security camera. Thanks for your help!

Would a weather-resistant power adapter be a superior choice? I believe so, since WiFi repeaters often fall short. These outdoor adapters seem designed for durability, unlike the usual performance of such devices.

Powerline adapters often fail to function properly. Their effectiveness drops significantly when they’re not on the same circuit breaker. Since it’s a garage, it might be on a separate subpanel, which could explain the issues. How far is your home from the garage?

The distance is roughly 15 meters from the garage to the house.
