Ideas for an initial water cooling setup
Ideas for an initial water cooling setup
I am eager to invest in my initial liquid cooling setup and have bought a new case that is supposed to be quite compatible with liquid cooling (NZXT Switch 810) as many detailed reviews suggest. However, I still have some doubts about which system to choose. I reviewed the forum sticky notes but still have a few questions. I am certain I need to cool my processor because I’m not satisfied with the temperatures it’s running at with its current heatsink (Hyper 212 Evo), but I’m uncertain whether cooling the GPU or other components is necessary. I really enjoyed assembling this computer and intend to build more, so I’d like to explore liquid cooling as another passion project. Therefore, I need some advice on a reliable liquid cooling solution to start with, and whether cooling my CPU alone will be enough or if I should also consider cooling the GPU or other parts. I’m not sure about the price range—there’s a wide variation—but I’d say my budget is around 100-300 dollars, and if that feels tight, I can increase it once I understand the components better. I’m dedicating a lot of effort to maintaining a black/green aesthetic for my PC, so if possible, getting green tubing like others have done would be perfect. Below is a snapshot of my current configuration to help you assess my cooling requirements. (I’m about to replace the graphics card with a much better one) Thank you all for your assistance.
You can choose the XSPC Raystorm EK240 DC vario pump, it's a great option for $250. It provides all the necessary components to begin.
You can find more details here: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16070/...Coil_.html
It's more affordable at other retailers.

It would be a complete waste of money on a watercooling loop when you have something like this.
The power supply model is POS.
The CPU is quite basic, so any performance boost from overclocking would be minimal.
The Hyper 212 is suitable for 4.5ghz overclocks.
In short, invest in a higher-quality power supply and consider upgrading the CPU if possible.
Please read my previous statement again, I want to do it as a hobby, not necessarily out of necessity. I would enjoy learning how to effectively install it and give it a nice look. Roxas you suggested the XSPC Raystorm EK240 DC vario pump and said you could get it cheaper other places then frozencpu, where might I find it cheaper? I use newegg.com for all of my computer related purchases and I can't seem to find it through them.
Thank you.
your age is really testing you.
eventually you might start reacting badly here.
from my perspective, it would be smarter to improve the PSU/gpu and save the rest for the keyboard.
