You're considering two options for your gaming setup. Option one suggests upgrading your motherboard to one that supports Bluetooth, which would likely be more expensive. Option two recommends purchasing a quality Bluetooth adapter now and upgrading your CPU later, which avoids immediate costs. Which approach do you think fits better with your plans?

I've gotten really into this topic. If you're only after USB options, there aren't many. Want Wi-Fi too? Opt for a PCIe combo card—those tiny ones designed for laptops work great. You can use an adapter if needed. BT modules are a big improvement. My brother's PC has one integrated, so we can easily connect six DS4 controllers within two meters. My Asus USB BT dongle struggles even with just one connection, and it often fails with other brands, usually starting cheap and low-quality.

This is better then what ive said, same hardware but no need for PCIe adapters. Edit, since i can get this for under 40 bucks, i might get me one just for the Bluetooth... (Still cheaper then trying to find the right USB BT dongle. )

You only need Bluetooth support now. Your existing TP Link adapter works with Wi-Fi too.

You’re left with a useless BT adapter or one that offers both features. (I was actually thinking about swapping the Wi-Fi adapter too.) From what I’ve seen, there’s really no better choice. If you have suggestions, let me know.

Btw im currently using a Trust BT USB adapter, not sure if this brand is avaiable elsewhere. But weirdly enough this is the best on of the USB ones yet. Much better then the signal dropping Asus one. But still having 1 controller connected and the 2nd wont connect. Speakers/headsets can connect but no aptx or any other higer bitrate codecs, ie sound quality is terrible. Not to mention the lag on them. So pretty worthless as a sound device. The one in my brothers computer is one of them mini PCIe ones (only know atm it has intel wifi chip) wifi/BT combo and with 2 controllers connected it would still output the higher bitrate to stereo headphones. (still not aptx but cant have it all) controllers talked about are the Sony Playstation 4 ones, DualShock 4. (used in combo with the DS4Windows app) I hope some of my experiences makes your decisions easier.
