When idle, it doesn't really matter as long as the CPU isn't under stress, but I'd anticipate around 30-40°C. For active use, anything below 75°C should perform well. These values are what I consider acceptable for any processor and come from my personal experience.

It depends on your cooling setup, case design, airflow, and room temperature. Ryzen processors tend to reach high idle temperatures, so don't overthink it. With the built-in cooler, you might hit 85-90 during stress tests and 75-80 while gaming—that's acceptable. Using a quality air cooler or AIO usually keeps things under 80 in stress tests and below 70 in games.

Sharing personal insights, the room temperature is typically around 18-22°C. With the R5 3600 Stock Cooler and one front fan, idle temps hover between 40-45°C. Gaming performance stays in the 70-90°C range based on workload. Using two front fans with a rear fan brings it down to 35-40°C. At higher loads, gaming temps reach 70-85°C. Most reliable coolers limit performance to around 50°C, and AIO or water cooling can push it even lower. Keep in mind other variables like fan placement, chassis design, and cooler quality. Reviews online can provide further details.

Idle for me focuses on performance under 45c, whereas typical loads hit about 60c+ and the peak reaches near 79c. I swapped my Wraith Stealth cooler for... the same image set from legitreviews.com.

I believe 70 degrees is normal, but I experienced twitch and a game running after I shut down Twitch. They lowered the temperature again, or if I kept Twitch open while closing it, the temps would drop back to 40-60 degrees.
