I thought there was confusion about the coax cabling being the same as cat6, so it wouldn’t matter much—I’d need a lot of either type.

With central air, you can lay cables through the duct system. You might drill holes between rooms along the exterior wall base to avoid dealing with door frames or hallways. Based on your home's construction, run the cable through walls to the attic or roof and back into the target room. If solid walls exist, drill a hole up to the attic and use conduit for a cleaner appearance. For DSL or cable internet, relocate the modem to the desired area for a quicker connection and encourage others to use Wi-Fi.
