Hey there, I see you're dealing with a curious RAM situation on your laptop compared to your desktop. (That's quite the observation...) It does seem odd that it's using so much memory while doing almost nothing. You've already tried Windows Support without any assistance, and it would jump when you took screenshots. Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

It appears 5.6GB is already stored, which means Windows is keeping data in memory for quicker access. Memory consumption becomes important only when it reaches capacity. If you're using it heavily, you might run into issues, though idle usage isn't a big concern.

It seems your desktop has a 32-core processor, and its passive performance is quite limited. Appreciate the details!

We lack information about the configuration when using another setup, and the cache size changes with installed software. Idle state offers no value. Regarding RAM, it depends on what applications are running. The greater the number of programs loaded, the higher the memory demand, even when the system is idle. Background processes and services also use RAM as they operate in the background. Anything needing to tell your CPU what to do must reside in RAM.
