Idea for Hackintosh setup
Apple is moving to ARM architecture, ending support for x86. Raspberry Pi 8GB running Mac OS? (Both platforms use ARM.) Short version: Can you run macOS on a Raspberry Pi?
It looks like the instructions for the Pi might be missing from the OS X version. I’ll have to wait and check. The Pi uses ARM v8-A, while the current A13 is based on V8.4a. There are also Apple-specific components in the die that OS X won’t recognize without the Pi’s hardware (such as the neural network engine).
Food for thought: Apple could employ that as DRM, meaning you can't boot OSX on any ARM device.
Variations exist significantly among ARM-based processors from different makers.
