I'm assisting a friend with a rather unusual issue they're facing. They recently installed a Corsair Ironclaw RGB wired and connected it to the system earlier today. Whenever they interact with the mouse, the iCUE profile changes automatically, requiring them to manually revert to their custom profile. Despite various troubleshooting steps—such as remapping the profile switch button, disabling the switch, restarting the PC and iCUE, testing with a different mouse, checking power supplies, unplugging peripherals, and even uninstalling Razer software—the problem persists. They mention not having any other software to control lighting and note that the Razer Naga was replaced, with the Razer application removed. The last idea considered was a complete reinstall of iCUE or using an older version.

He has several menu choices in Icue. The lighting effects are active when Icue is running, while hardware lighting is stored on the mouse's memory. To prevent profile swapping, you can remove the default profile by going to the device settings menu and checking for firmware updates. Additionally, the same screen on the K70 allows resetting onboard profiles, so you can also reset them on the mouse if needed. You should be able to set colors for the mouse and use it without Icue.

We attempted to delete the profiles, but since there were hardware profiles from the mouse that couldn't be permanently removed, iCUE would switch to them whenever a button was pressed on the mouse. I came up with the idea of creating a profile to use and saving it to all available hardware profiles, so the profile wouldn't matter if it switched—effectively making no changes at all.
