You need to adjust your folder view settings so the icons remain in Medium size. Change the view from Small icons or List to Medium icons when you open the folders. This will keep your shortcuts displayed correctly regardless of how you navigate.

Verify your folder is assigned a particular format. Windows provides five standard options. You’ll find them in the folder’s properties—usually it uses a specific icon size by default. You can change these defaults via the folder settings. Begin by adjusting how you display your folder as desired. Next, navigate to the menu ribbon, select View, then Options, and finally switch to the View tab. This lets you apply your current folder’s configuration to its assigned type. Remember this change affects all folders of that category, ensuring consistency. Also note that Windows may be running low on cache, usually capping at 5,000 items. You can extend this limit in the registry if needed. For detailed instructions, refer to the provided guide: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-7...w-settings

The icons remained in the Medium view for several days. Appreciate the details, I’ll consider trying again if they shift back. I marked it as resolved.
