Hey there. I'm facing a bothersome issue with my Windows 10 system. When I permanently remove a folder, its icon appears with a black background (the screenshot is included). Please note this only occurs during deletion. Windows Explorer displays folders normally only when deleting them, but not in this situation. I've tried several solutions: using Disk Cleanup without admin rights, and also following the steps from GuidingTech. Unfortunately, it didn't fix the problem. It began after I restored important files from a recently crashed drive. I suspect a virus might be the cause, but malwarebytes and Avast didn't detect anything. Anyone have any ideas?

It seems unusual. The smaller icon you see is compared to what you have, and the folder path is being referenced. The black background appears because Windows attempted alpha blending but failed, indicating no transparency support. Does this issue occur with all folders? Have you tried restarting the PC? Did you use any system tweak tools?

It occurs with every folder I attempted to delete, except when deleting a batch. The OS was just installed and I performed several restarts. What I did was move files from my crashed drive to the new SSD without using any tweak tools. Thank you for looking into this.

It seems the current setup isn't working. I could try reinstalling Windows.
