Hi, I'm having trouble with my i913900k and dual 4090 setup that has 128 GB RAM. It works fine with an i713900kf, but when I switch to the i9 it behaves poorly. The GPU2 doesn't respond properly, and when I try to access data or connect a display, it flickers, crashes, or switches to IGPU using GPU1 as a fallback. This causes both GPUs to be lost. I've checked everything I can think of and consulted my team. The BIOS is the latest version, drivers are up-to-date, and booting with 32 GB RAM works only with GPU2 (which fails). Only GPU1 boots, which seems problematic. Could you provide more details to help resolve this? Thanks ahead! Parts: MB: Evga Z690 RAM: DDR5 4800MHz 32GB sticks (total 128GB) CPU: i913900k (I have an i713900kf for troubleshooting) GPU: 4090 NVIDIA Reference Storage: M.2 SSD (in bus 3)

If the CPU failed, the machine wouldn’t operate at all. It’s more likely because this setup isn’t configured properly—two 4090 boards might not have had the firmware fully tested. It could be helpful to reach out to Evga for clarification. Also, could you share the power supply details and how the i7 performed when it worked correctly?

Running on an 1600W Evga PSU, I have a custom BIOS from Evga that they validated. It matches the 2.04 version available on their site. The i7 supports both the custom BIOS and version 2.04.

Do you have enough PCI lanes available? Certain motherboards require specific lane configurations. For configurations like 2x8+4, verify compatibility and ensure both GPUs don’t demand excessive lanes.

On the i7 it functions well, making the motherboard feel satisfied. Additionally, the BIOS is locked at X8 Gen 4 speed, fully compatible with the motherboard specifications.
