It depends on how you define a "big difference." Your choice of games, overall system specs, etc., matter. As a rough estimate, you might see about 30 extra frames per second at 1080p and 20 more at 1440p, but these are just guesses.

Yes, playing MMOs is generally possible, though not always ideal. Even when the 5900x is strong, frame rates are often high enough that performance differences feel minor. However, in MMOs single-threaded performance usually becomes a bottleneck during intense multiplayer battles or complex physics scenarios, making the 5900x more apparent. Instead of dropping to 70 fps, expect it to fall to around 80 or 90.

there will be variations in paper scores of 10-15% for games using extra cores, especially when achieving 240fps. Performance drops will improve on 5900x resolution, while the 9900k model suffers significant slowdowns that aren't widely discussed.

These games are already very high-performance FPS titles for the 9900k. If you're streaming, you're likely using nvenc. Improvements are expected, but it's hard to say exactly how much better they'll be.
