Additionally, numerous motherboards struggle to support ES CPUs. QS CPUs generally function properly, whereas ES CPUs may have issues due to microcode quirks or stepping problems. Most mainstream ES CPUs seem to align more closely with Xeon models I’m more comfortable with.

For the case you mentioned, it doesn't seem worthwhile, though I've encountered worse situations before. Make sure the seller has positive reviews and process payments via PayPal.
