Typically it was turned off by default, not activated. Recent BIOS updates might have altered that, though I’m aware not every board has been affected. The point I make is that it allows clock stretching when low voltage is sensed, which can significantly reduce performance on many Z-series boards that undervolt 13th generation chips from the start. Intel has mentioned this as a potential cause of instability, but it isn’t confirmed they link it to CPU failures. They haven’t pinpointed the exact reason yet, especially regarding instability on 13th/14th gen chips.

It seems a GN video discussed how turning off CEP and setting IccMax to 4096A removed overcurrent safeguards, leaving the chip vulnerable to occasional voltage spikes that could lead to damage.

You're checking your CPU temperatures and seeing that many benchmarks set a limit of 70°C. That matches the readings you got during testing. It's possible the limit was adjusted for stability or to avoid overheating during sustained loads. If you're unsure, you could tweak it slightly higher or lower based on your cooling setup.

For any issue, choose Ultimate performance. Activate it immediately (you may need to turn it on via cmd or search).

Sure, I won't alter it. There should also be a comparable configuration in the UEFI for TjMax.

Was das XTU-Modul die richtige ist? Hast du deinen UEFI überprüft, wie ich vorgeschlagen habe?

In bios it's set to auto, grayed out, which means I can't modify it.

Also, if it's truly reaching the TjMax, it should appear in the Limit reasons for Hwinfo and Throttlestop. Have you verified that? There might be a previous reply available.
