While using Cinebench, it consistently stays near 70°C. Power consumption is around 200 watts, not hitting the maximum pl1 and pl2 values. I kept my hwinfo enabled to investigate possible causes. My BIOS has MCE disabled, defaulting to Intel settings. The AIO cooler runs with a "cooler master masterliquid pl360 flux" cooler, and the thermal paste was just applied a couple of months ago. The room temperature was 22°C during the test. Previously, I achieved around 32k with MCE off and default Intel BIOS, but now it's dropping to about 20k. No other CPU or BIOS adjustments have been made recently.

It’s still a bit low; 36k with Intel limits aligns more with typical expectations. I’d first check if CEP is active—most Z-series boards disable it, which usually drops performance to about 20k in R23.

You chose the default Intel defaults. Now both "Performance" and "Extreme" options are available. The IccMax figure appears incorrect—Extreme should use the same value as Performance. Please verify it manually.

My CEP is turned on by default in internal CPU management. These options aren’t usually adjusted, so I’m assuming they’re already active. I’m not sure what effect this will have, and I didn’t need to turn anything off before.

The problem remained consistent both before and after the BIOS update.

CPU power management was mentioned as the primary cause of the failures, so... it makes sense to keep it active. I receive 35k with it turned on, but IccMax is capped at 400. Also verify there isn’t a Windows power plan set to powersave, as that would restrict the CPU from running at full capacity.

Didn't you install the latest firmware? Consider using MCE. Set Cinebench realtime priority in Task Manager—system may freeze. Check if other processes aren't using the CPU, which seems unlikely given your low power draw.

MCE means Multi-core boost. CEP is probably something else you're asking about.

I previously ran a Cinebench test several months ago and achieved about 30k. Recently I'm getting around 20k. I could still try with MCE turned on, though in the past I usually didn't exceed 32k and only reached 92c.
