If the temperature jumps quickly to over 95°C, it suggests a bent CPU. A cooler with good heat transfer will respond more smoothly. I suggest adjusting your vcore to 1.30v in BIOS for steadier performance and reduced throttling. Make sure the cooling frame is solid.

They still have the old Lancelot model with tight airflow settings. For now, keep it off. A lasting solution would involve a dedicated airflow case with a front panel and a mounting frame.

I could probably replace the front panel rather than purchase a new case. Really pleased I was able to fix it. If anyone faces the same issue, consider turning off the ASUS Multicore Enchantment and disabling all limits in the BIOS on Asus motherboards. This reduced temperatures by 8°C without affecting performance. I also lowered the voltage by -0.085—higher settings aren’t stable for me, but around -0.01 works best.

Recent adjustment: The CPU contact plate was installed, reducing temperatures by 5-6°C. However, rendering performance dropped from 38k to 33k on Cinebench R23 with multiple cores, which is unusual since no BIOS changes were made.

I received a contact frame that reduced my temperatures by 5-6°C, but I’m not seeing the same performance gains in Cinebench R23 with multiple cores anymore—my score dropped from 38k to 33k, which is unusual. Previously, the CPU max temperature was around 92-93°C, and it reached 88°C before the frame was installed.

Restore BIOS to its original settings—it might be because certain components were taken out and the CMOS was reinitialized to defaults. Verify the outcome afterward and confirm the BIOS functions correctly.

It's not uncommon for performance to drop temporarily during certain game states or loads. The changes you're seeing might be due to system load or thermal throttling.

Increasing to the 80s is typical. Moving directly to 95+ isn't. After resetting the BIOS to defaults, confirm you restore the original voltage settings.

We determined the required voltage by checking the specifications and confirming it should be 1.3V rather than 1.43V.
