Hey, I've had an i9 13900k for about six months now. Initially, I was concerned about idle temperatures—check out my earlier post for more details. Recently, without any updates or changes to settings, my apps keep closing randomly and Chrome shows "ACCESS_STATUS_VIOLATION" errors when it crashes. It seems like another memory issue is causing this. Discord freezes almost every five minutes during video calls. Many people suggest lowering the CPU clock speed or sending it back to the manufacturer for repair. I'm using the newest BIOS, following Intel's recommended settings, with MSI PRO Z790-A motherboard, 64GB DDR5 RAM (XMP enabled). I've attached a video of me typing this up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated—I've spent several days trying fixes or temporary solutions like reducing performance. Thanks!

Turn it off? Yeah, that would make sense too. It’s a good idea to file an RMA at that point, especially since the IMC issues on the 13th and 14th gen Intel are well documented. Intel seems to still support the extended return window for it.

Detect signs of wear. Start with a memory stress test, then turn off XMP temporarily. Check if lowering your CPU's clock speed resolves the issues.

Consider using a variety of memory exercises to assess and improve recall abilities.
