Consent reached. DDR5 boosts gaming performance by up to 10 frames per second, but the upgrade comes at a higher price.
For gaming purposes and a quick purchase, opt for an i5. If you have the budget, consider an i7—it offers nearly 90% of the i9’s performance at roughly half the cost. When connected to your motherboard, it typically defaults to 4800 MT/s, though you can switch it to 6400 if desired. Keep in mind that overclocking will be more noticeable with Intel CPUs.
I'm testing different configurations but the best result so far is 5000MHz on a 5600MHz graded setup. To exceed 1.435 volts, I used Ai Tweaker and enabled High DRAM voltage mode. I have an Asus Z690-P with four Corsair CL36 5600MHz sticks installed on an i9-12900K using a 1000W PSU with XMP profile. The settings are: Advanced Memory Voltages, VDD 1.45, VDDQ 1.45, and everything else auto.
