I believe the 11900k is more efficient than the 10900k. I don’t think I need 10 cores; if they can build an 8-core chip with higher clocks/IPC and less power use, I’m in. What caught my attention is the big difference in temperatures and lower frame rates. It seems odd, I don’t expect major generational gains (this is Intel, right? Tongue). I wouldn’t think it would be worse. It doesn’t make sense for the newer chip to run 20+ degrees hotter while doing less work... and since they’re at the same clock speed, if Intel really improved IPC, it should feel noticeably faster.

Intel Rocket Lake Core i9-11900K features a TDP/PL1 rating of 125 W and a PL2 turbo power cap at 250 W, with a turbo time of 56 seconds. Delivers 250W under the radar for clock speeds ranging from 5.3GHz to 4.8GHz across all cores. XD

Even the best data ive seen about rocket lake has a negligible lead over a 5800x, there's no point of waiting, buy zen 3 when they are in stock.
